AMD Inaugurates Fourth R&D Center in India

US-based chip maker AMD recently inaugurated its second R&D center in Hyderabad, India. Following the company's previous announcement that it will further expand its current R&D operations in India a few months back, AMD opened this R&D center which is projected to focus on next-generation graphics and computing solutions, according to the company.

This second R&D center in Hyderabad is AMD's fourth such facility in India. AMD's R&D operations in Hyderabad are focused on VLSI (Very-Large-Scale Integration) and systematic design for consumer electronics. The company now has two R&D centers in both Bengaluru and Hyderabad.

Moreover, via its technological cooperation with India-based chip supplier SemIndia, AMD aims to deepen its cultivation of the Indian market and strengthen its R&D capability.
